There's a new website called, "ruinedsongs.com." The premise of the site is for people to write the names of songs that have been ruined for them for whatever reason and why. One girl wrote that she could no longer listen to some Mariah Carey song because it was her and an ex's "song." Another person told about how a song was ruined for him because he performed it at a school talent show and was ridiculed for his singing. Although the writing on the site is long-winded, it does pose an interesting question:

Celebrate and We are Family are ruined for me. They have been played way to much, especially at weddings. Ugh. Also, Come on Aileen, for obvious reasons.
Another song that was ruined for me is Must Be the Music by Secret Weapon. My sister, Lisa, told me the song was very nasty. I loved that song and played it over and over when I was in the sixth grade. Ever since she told me what she thinks the song says, I hear her lyrics! I can't find the real lyrics anywhere to prove her wrong.
