what's your favorite
there's a whole wall of books in my living room. As I was passing it one day it hit me that I haven't read any books lately. As I thought back, I remembered the first book I ever read. It was S.E. Hinton's "that was then this is now." I was amazed. Just a few chapters and I was hooked. The experience led me to read many many more books including the Lord of the rings Trilogy and Prequel, everything Stephen King, and my favorite. Shogun, well, next to the Bible anyway. I must have read that one 30 times, Shogun that is . Anyway, what was your favorite book? What was the last book you read?

Stephen King's The Stand ...of course
I love John Sandford and Patricia Cornwell. Used to read all the time. Nowadays, I have no attention span.
Tim that book remains one of my favorites.I had it in hard cover with the illustrations. Did anyone read the gun slinger series.
Yes.... very strange. Been a number of years since I have read them.
But I think that the stand is one of my all time favorites. Read it I don't know how many times.
Yes, read the Gunslinger series. All seven. They were strange but good. I love anything by Stephen King. My favorite was IT with the Stand in 2nd.
The last book I read was Hunting Fear by Kay Hooper and I am currenlty reading Lost Boy Lost Girl by Peter Straub. I read at least one book a month, sometimes two.
Robin if you've read Peter Straub and Stephen King then I hope you've read " The talisman" and "Black house" by both authors together. The gunslinger actually shows up in the second. And I'm right there with you with "IT". I think thats the one that sucked me into Stephen King. I could not believe how scary words on a page could be. I know this is long but if you really want a mind trip, read the incarnations of immortality by Piers Anthony. Death war fait nature good evil are all offices held by people. its trippy
Ok as a child I love "Charlotte's Web". I am a "Harry Potter" series fan. That whole world is interesting to me. The author is amazing to have been able to come up with such a story line.
I am NOT a reader, but, 3 summers ago i got into reading a little. I read Dan Brown's "Angels & Demons"--could not put it down (can't wait for the movie). Then, of course read "The Divinci Code"--loved it too (the movie was also great)--ALL that in one summer, I think it was actually in one week. There is another story in this series...takes place here in the US...having to do with the White House! Yup, I wanna read that one too.
