Do You Remember...
This will take us back. All you have to do is name a place that you enjoyed back in the day. (Now, that sounds old, doesn't it?) I'll start. Do you remember the water park near Westland Mall? What was the name of it?
Cookie, wasn't that the Water Bogen? It was there with Tropical Skating, right?
I too favor the forest, and I also liked going to the bridge. Anyone remember the bridge? Funny part about both places is that neither had restrooms. Remember that girls!?
Oh man Paula, you said Wesley's! Remember that one Christmas Eve that we all spent there? I felt so bad for not going to midnite mass. Remember hang loose?
I remember Taco Viva, its gone. I remember the clearing in the woods behind Burger King, its gone. I remember Farrarri's pizza, its gone. I remember Marcello's formal wear, (white gloves)its gone. I remember Pizza Hut (lunch buffet), its gone. Man I feel old.
Well I was also an HML Singer geek so we hung at Mazzio's Pizza. They had great pizza there and hell, they never kicked us out.
I also remember hanging around the construction site of the "Gratney" bridge (I'm sure I spelled it wrong). The overpass right on the corner of W 83rd and 12 ave was creepy but a good place to "hang out"
Cookie, the only skating rink that I remember that had wooden floors was the Westland skating rink in across the street from the Mall. I lived there and messed up my knee there in a speed skating race. YEAH I WAS ATHLETIC .... sometimes
