Well I finally found something I figured might be a good topic for our group considering the changes in technology during the past 20 - 25 years. I recently went through a bad break up (long story) but how I found out he was cheating on me was via technology. I'm not talking about pictures or video but internet. I starting thinking about how wonderfully horrible technology really is for relationships. For instance, everyone has their own cell phones, computers, various e-mail accounts, and even various "lives" via the internet. I'm about to go back to the Flinstone era myself and hope I can trust again.
Thoughts?

Jeanne, So sorry to hear that.
A Shithead is a Shithead with or without a "Techonology".
Get yourself a new victim (boyfriend) and move on!
NEXT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the condolences but I'm better off without someone like that. I just think that even though technology is able to bring people (from far distances) together, it can really drive a relationship to a new level of distrust.
Oh and believe you me, they are ALL victims now.
wow! if you look at it like that i guess it is bad, but it can really spice things up too. ;)
Technology just makes things easier - on one hand it makes it easier for a shithead to keep being a shithead, but for someone with good intentions who's a good person it makes it easier to keep in touch and further the relationship thru distance.
trust me, been there done that!!!
Sorry that bad things sometimes have to happen to good people.
hang in there
seriously though, have you ever started things up via text? Or, what about the digital camera? How about the camera phone?
not me, i'm just not technical enough to deal with all that. Call me old fashioned, but i'd rather meet a bum in person then let them break my heart via phone, email, text or video
lol
Jeanne, I agree with Paula and Denise... Once a shithead always a shithead... But, don't give up. If it wasn't for technology today, I wouldn't be as happy as I am. Hope you can all make it to the wedding next year....
