I loved band. I loved making music. I loved the friends I made there. I even loved all of the practices. But there was one thing I hated having to do in the band-sewing the teeny, tiny hems on the cut off fingers of my gloves. It was horrible!
What is the one thing you hated about band?

when I was in the regular uniform - I always had to hem my pants - they were always too long
when i was in the clarinet section - sewing those dang gloves
when i was in the drum line - cleaning and scrubbing my cymbals with Brasso - that was a tuff job
and I somehow got suckered into tapeing "all" the drum sticks so they matched
when I was in the color guard - cleaning my black boots - i was real happy when we switched over to the "dance" type shoes.
The only thing that I can come with that I truly truly hated was that strip of paper they used to cover the glass on the piano room door. the gaurd used to change in that room. and it was hell trying to see through those tiny exposed corners. Especially when you're jocking for position with four other guys. just beyond that opaque barrier were all the things that fantasies were made of. I HATED THAT FRICKIN STRIP OF PAPER
LOL Byron!!!
spit from the spit valve!!!
Juan
spit from the drumline and their "attempts" to chew tobacco
ick
Juan,
I had forgotten about that. That was really nasty!
Walters Bad breath!!!
Whats wrong with spit from the spit valve...
come on, now.
The fact that I had the same girlfriend my entire time in band...
Would have liked to just sleep around...with the color guard, majorettes, etc...
Crap, did I just say that out loud???
Yeah... you did say that out loud. LOL!
speaking of the color guard, majorettes,...where are they?
I'm here Cookie.
I hated the uniform!
I hated the hats! I could deal with everything else after a game...could re-do makeup, spritz some Lauren to cover-up the "just came off teh field" smell, change my clothes... but there was NOTHING to be done with sweaty "hat hair"!
