I have "a list." It's not a good one. The list is for people who have disrespected me, in some blatant way, three times. Yes, you read that right. I count. Once that happens, and you get put on the list, it takes a whole lot to get off. On the list, I forget you exist. Your calls and emails won't be answered. I "forget" to show up for your special events. It's petty. I know.
How do you have a temper tantrum?

Cookie, you give 3 strikes? Guess I'm not on the list, yet. There's always tomorrow. Do you tell them when they have wronged you? Me, I don't think you get 3 chances and if you can't figure out you screwed up well, we'll just say you are VERY slow.
I consider a temper tantrum something you do when you don't get your way so, for those of you familiar with me as an adult (I use that term loosely) you know I don't need to throw a tantrum. I'm SPOILED!
In the words of Don henely, " there are people in your who come and go. They break you down ya know they hurt your pride. Ya gotta put it all behind ya baby cause life goes on. You keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside.
I been tryin to get down to the heart of the matter. But my will gets weak and my thoughts seem to scatter but I think it's about. Forgiveness. Forgiveness. Even though YOU REALLY PISSED ME OFF. LOL I changed that last line.
Cookie, you talking about me?LOL...... you better be at my b-day party!!!!!
I believe in forgiveness as well...Those that know my life story, can agree that if I kept all that anger inside, I would be crazy. (those that already think I am... well, you have been proven wrong, the doctor says I'm sane). lol....
In my life I have learned to live by something that I was told by my great grand father ...You don't have to answer for what someone has done, only for what you have. Sometimes your pride might get hurt, causing yourself to be humble to the situation at the moment, just remember never allow your pride to rob you of your gifts that life has to offer...
I know it might sound corney.... but the man was 103 years old at the time...I can say he knew what he was talking about...
(I can hear it from the peanut gallery now.... OH lord! not again....... My advise to you is, you don't have to read it:)
Give me a break, guys. Are you saying I'm the ONLY one who gets upset. Come on!
It really has to be that hot latin blood in you!!!!!
by the way, wasn't one you your favorit songs "feeling hot"?
lol....
No Cookie, you aren't the only one. Probably the only one that actually keeps a list and admits it.
I have a long fuse HOWEVER, once that fuse has been lit, back off very quickly because my mouth goes off and not so very gingerly. I say EXACTLY what is on my mind without gaurd and what's worse, I don't curse when I get to that point. I will say this, once I have crossed a person out of my life, it is like that forever. When I'm done I'M DONE.
I have recently seen the end of a 15 year friendship with my best friend because of lies and deception. As Byron said, I am having to put it all behind me and walk forward. When we are too busy looking back we don't see what is ahead of us.
Seriously Cookie, these people you are putting on your "list", are they even worth giving three chances to?? Think about it.
My three year old has temper tanrums. I'm with Jeanne on this one, "When I'm done I'M DONE."
Don't worry Paula. The list is not long. It takes A LOT to get on the list. You're right to a certain extent. But, it gets a little more difficult when it's family.
I get mad, angry and frustrated but I dont often show it outwardly. However when I do it is usually expressed with that wonderous gift i seem to have for sarcasm in a story format to someone else. I dont normally hold a grudge but if you have seriously wronged me i won't let you get that close again. When I am mad or upset I sweep the floor and wash windows. Big joke in my house. When I feel blue...i shop.
