4Real

When I was a teacher, I had a student named, Usnavy, pronounced, oos nah vee, in Spanish. It took me a whole year to realize that his name stood for U S Navy! The other day, I read an article about a judge in New Zealand who did not approve the name, 4Real on a child's birth certificate. He said it was unfair to the child. What do you think?

why saddle a child with an unconventional name that either a) no one can pronounce or b) means something totally different than what you meant 20 years from now.

We are looking thru resumes now and I'm sorry, but if I can't pronounce it, I can't hire you

just my opinion

Hey, I like it.

When we were looking for names for our last child, I wanted to so bad give him the name "Quatro" (at least for a middle name--Dominic Quatro, doesn't it sound cool) but no one backed me on it.

I like the name. I know a family that their kids' names are: Raine, Chance, and Journee (Journee who was adopted from China)

Well, I don't think I would name my own child 4Real, but I can't say I mind the alternative names. This coming from someone who CHOOSES to go by the name Cookie!

I hated my name for years. I only got it because it was my dad's. I don't think parents think about the abuse their children will have to live with. Not only with the name itself but what the initials will be. I work with girl named vivian her last name is diaz. Im sure she grew up with people calling her VD. If Im ever bleassed with children I will be sure to give a lot of thought to their names

- agent double-e-p
- E!
- eep-er-roonie
- or sometimes just "eep"

one of my friends, her husband was a major motorhead & did it for a living too, named her daughter Ashley Marie. Her husband gave her the initials to work with, the name was her choice. AMP or STP.
