Reflections

It's almost midnight, 28 Feb 2007. The last hour of my first 40 years. I was reading some of the old posts and recollecting some of the old times over the years. Friends, good times, bad times. I wonder what the next 40 years has to offer. I know a crossroads is coming in the next 8 months, as I will complete my 20 years in the military and I will be eligible to retire. Wondering if this is my last assignment, or will I move on to another place and do my duty... The places I've been, the people I have encountered... It's almost like starting life over again, but this time, I am armed with much more knowledge and experience.

What kind of crossroads have you encountered?

lol... rare moment of seriousness from me...

I'd say the birth of my children, of course. The death of my mother is another one. And, two years ago, I decided to completely change careers at the same time my oldest graduated from high school. THAT was the biggest crossroad yet.

First of all--HAPPY BIRTDAY TIM!!!

I guess one of my biggest crossroads was when we needed a bigger house. We kept multiplying, outgrew our 2/2 town-villa and our oldest was fast approaching school age. We decided to head to Central Florida and absolutely love it! I was able to be a stay-at-home mom for 7 more years. If we would have stayed in Miami, that would NOT have been possible.

Only thing I miss from So. FLA is my "people" and my culture. Though we have our "Latino Connection" here, too.
