According to the Free Online Dictionary, the definition for charming is:
The power or quality of attracting or delighting; a particular quality that allures by using strong personal attractiveness.
This word is not used much anymore. It may be because there aren't very many charming people. That's a good thing! Can you imagine what trouble we would be in?
Can you recall someone who knew exactly what to say to you? How'd they do that? Think back. It may have been awhile.

The last person is actually someone I talk to almost everyday. He's a manager for one of the stores here. He's is totally full of crap but he knows how to play the game. Some managers argue, this one sweet talks. I will tell you, it works. I am more willing to listen to his problem or complaint & help him than any of the other store managers, just because of the way he approaches things. He's a saleperson through & through and has honed his trade well. He also knows that when dealing with someone that can affect the profitability of his store it is best to be nice.
Kel and I just got back from a cruise, and there was more than one or two fellas who I would call "charming". Do you think "charming" and "flirty" are interchangeable?

Kara, I don't think they are interchangeable. I think charming people can be flirty, but not all flirts are charming.
Carlos, if people say you are charming, then I would believe them. Why would they lie? But, I also think Kara has a point. We may just have to meet you to find out.
I really do think this is a rare quality. I have only met three truly charming people, two of which were in band. The third is my brother. He's a love cat!
Charming and flirty are definately two different things.
Now that we have the definitions straight, I have some "Charming Part 2" questions. Who else here has been called charming? Who in the band would you consider charming?
