Jeff and I were "talking" Sunday night for quite awhile. I say talking, but we were actually im-ing and texting at the same time. We were talking about his new phone and all of its bells and whistles. He said he had to get text messaging because he has heard that everyone in the group (that's what he calls us.) is mad for it. He is SO right. LOL. I personally have a serious texting addiction. He went on to say that we aren't your typical group of 40 year olds. We're up on technology and can keep up with the kids.
What do you think? Do you love technology? If so, what can't you live without?

Text messenging is a bad subject right now... My daughter LOVES it - so much in fact she went 3500 texts over her limit in last month, this month she is already over by 300. And that was only 3 days into the billing cycle when I found out. So she is working hard to pay off the over $400 she owes me now. I refuse to get unlimited texts... Because I want to teach her responsibility and spending control.
Me? I dont care for texting, or talking on the phone much for that matter. All the new technology I keep up on - cant do without my 'puter and the internet. My cars? The family car is new. Mine is 41 years old, and I like it that way.
I feel for you Tim. My friends daughter was the same way. She wore off the #'s & letters on the keys. Man she was fast with it too.
Technology is great most of the time but I could live without it. All of it.
My son lost his texting privledges longgggg ago over a $350 bill, so we don't have the unlimited texting thing, either...but i would love to! I love my 'puter and the internet (can we say "geek") and EBAYYYYYY.
how many texts do you guys average in one day? I want to see just how serious my addiction is.
how do you know? LOL. I haven't shared my number yet. I'm still waiting to see if anyone is near it! It's higher than Gina's.
my text messages for the last year is.... 4. 4 text mesages in 12 months, which beats the number of alcoholic drinks I have had in the last year, which is 2.
tim, my number is WAY over yours. LOL.
Texting/IM'ing is cool BUT since we using IM extensively at work and my cell phone rings 583 times a day and then there's the 200+ emails a day...(plus my personal email)
I would be just as happy to chuck our 6 computers, 3 phone lines, 4 cell phones into the nearest lake and return to the dark ages of the '80's

Actually I can do without the 200+ a day winki cream, stock tips and mortgage rates spam crap email...
