For some reason, at our family get-togethers, the topic of conversation for the older people always seems to come back to three topics: Cuba, old music and musicians, and all of the strange things they have eaten. According to their stories, they have eaten rabbit, horse, goat, and even iguana. The strangest thing I ever heard was picadillo from a plantain peel. I know, gross.

I've eaten rabbit and gator fritters. I'm sorry but they both taste just like chicken. Of course then there's ox tail YUMMY
