This year's VMA's were a little disappointing, but I still love watching them. I love hearing who the judges pick for best male/female artist, best new group, and so on. I agree with their choices sometimes, but a lot of the times I don't. On many occasions, I think that the nominees are wrong, and that they have missed some worthy talent.
Thinking back since the first one, I realized that there sure have been a lot of videos since MTV started on August 1, 1981. If you were a judge, which videos, since that first one aired, would you choose? What category would you put that video in and why?

I would say that Michael Jackson has to get some kind of an award. He changed the way videos were made. Duran Duran is another group in that category. Prince of course, makes awesome videos. There is a strange void in the 90's of good video. As for a group today, I would say that Outkast is the most creative.
I can't believe I didn't mention Madonna!
