Got Some Cheese?
My brother and I were talking about things we used to say in high school, that people outside of Miami probably would have never said. For example, when he was in high school, they would say, "Got some cheese?" which really meant, "Do you have any good gossip?" You see, they were speaking Spanglish. I'll let you try and figure it out before I reveal where it comes from. But, there were so many things like this. Try ordering an Ironbeer soda in Hialeah in English. I did, and I was told they didn't have it, but when I asked for un Ironber, they quickly brought it over. Any more like this?

After this weekend? I sure do! :)
Well, there may be some progress on who MC is! I have my means too, you know.
Oh, when I taught my first group of ESOL students (these are students from other countries) one boy from Cuba was named Usnavy. Yep, that's right. US Navy.

My kids call it, "riding the cheese wagon." The cheese from the post refers to chisme, or gossip in Spanish.
