A Trip Down Memory Lane

You already know that I LOVE facebook. There's this one group called, "Born and Raised in Hialeah, FL" you have to check out. People have been posting places that we used to go to back in the day. You can't help but smile as you read about places like Fun O'Rama, Atlas Theater, Figaros, Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor, and Play World. Check it out. You're gonna love it!

Band Camp

This week, one of the volunteers said they could not serve next week because they were going to help out at Band Camp! I am so jealous. Can you imagine going back to band camp? What would you want to do if you could?

Butterflies

Do you remember how when just talking to someone would give you butterflies? Heck, I remember just seeing someone, and getting them. When was the last time someone gave you butterflies? If you're brave, who was it?

What was your first?

My computer is almost out of memory. I have a music addiction problem. They say the first step is admitting you have a problem. Right now, I have 1,953 songs saved in iTunes. I downloaded my first song in 1991 on my first computer. It was "Walking on the Sunshine" by a group called Rockers Revenge. I just had to have it. It only took about 7 hours to download using dial-up and the computer could not handle doing any other task, but oh, it was SO worth it.

I Dare You

My son asked some of his friends what color bands he should get put on his braces the other day. One girl dared him to put pink. He did! Not only are they pink, but they are a shocking neon pink. Everyone thinks this is hilarious, but I think he did it just to pick up girls.
Have you ever taken someone up on a dare? Was the reason just to impress someone else?

Gee, How Funny

I am spending the week in Daytona with 40 teenagers. Today, they decided to play pranks. I have never been a fan of the prank. I have always chosen to play my jokes directly and not do these things in hiding. If you can't tell by my tone, I am not a happy camper (pun intended). They stole all of my bras and panties. No one has the courage to bring them back. :) I smile, so I don't choke anyone.

Technology....good or bad for relationships

Well I finally found something I figured might be a good topic for our group considering the changes in technology during the past 20 - 25 years. I recently went through a bad break up (long story) but how I found out he was cheating on me was via technology. I'm not talking about pictures or video but internet. I starting thinking about how wonderfully horrible technology really is for relationships. For instance, everyone has their own cell phones, computers, various e-mail accounts, and even various "lives" via the internet. I'm about to go back to the Flinstone era myself and hope I can trust again.
